In Guatemala, the death toll in the Fuego volcano eruption has mounted to 69. The rescue operations are underway, with authorities warning that the toll could rise, as a number of people are still missing.
The country’s disaster agency said, more than 3,200 people have been evacuated, and many are being housed in temporary shelters. Guatemala City’s international airport has also been closed. People have been advised to wear protective face masks and clean their rooftops of ash once the eruption ends.
