Blast at Indian restaurant in Canada’s Ontario injures 15 people

In Canada, a powerful explosion at an Indian restaurant in Ontario province has left at least 15 people injured. Police said that three of them are seriously injured.

The incident took place at ‘Bombay Bhel’ restaurant on Thursday. It is not immediately known as to how many people were inside the restaurant when the incident took place.
Regional Police said in a tweet that two suspects entered into the restaurant and detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). It said the suspects fled the scene immediately after the explosion.

No one immediately claimed the responsibility for the blast.

The External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in a tweet has said that she is in constant touch with the Consulate General in Toronto and Indian High Commission at Canada and the Indian Missions are working round the clock
