US seeks global coalition against Iran

The US has said that it wants to build a global coalition against Iran and its destabilizing activities.

Talking to reporters, State Department spokesperson, Heather Nauert said, the aim is to bring together a lot of countries from around the world with the specific goal of looking at the Iranian regime through a more realistic lens.

She added that the coalition will not be anti-Iran because the US stands with people of that country, in contrast to the regime and its bad actions.

The plan is to be detailed on Monday by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in his first major foreign policy address since taking office in April.

US recently pulled out from the crucial Iran nuclear accord. France, Britain, Germany, China and Russia, other signatories of the 2015 deal along with Iran, strongly criticized the US withdrawal.
