25 Palestinians killed in Israeli fire

Twenty five Palestinians were killed in Israeli fire on the Gaza border today as mass protests erupted against the transfer of the US embassy to Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said, 25 persons were killed after major clashes broke out across the border between Israeli snipers and stone-throwing Palestinians, seeking to damage the fence. Thousands of others were protesting near the border.

Meanwhile, celebrations are being held in Israel ahead of shifting of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. President Donald Trump has hailed the opening of the US embassy as a great day for Israel.

His daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, will attend an official opening ceremony of the embassy today. Both of them serve as advisers to the US President. Most European Union ambassadors are expected to boycott the event.
