Afghanistan: 31 killed in suicide attack at voter registration centre in Kabul

In Afghanistan, at least 31 people were killed in a suicide attack at a crowded voter and ID registration centre in Kabul today.

The Interior Ministry said, the bomber on foot blew himself up after approaching the centre where officials had been issuing identity cards as part of a process of registering voters for Parliamentary elections this year.

The Health Ministry put the death toll at 31, adding that dozens were wounded.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, so far.
