Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg testifies before US Senate committees on Cambridge Analytica data scandal

Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg has testified before a joint session of several US Senate committees, in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica data collection scandal.

He said he wants to ensure the protection of the integrity of elections, mentioning that he knows the importance of the upcoming polls in countries, including India, Hungary and Brazil.

He told US Senators, that his company is in a constant battle with Russian operators seeking to exploit the social network.

It was revealed in recent weeks that about 87 million people had their profile information accessed by marketing firm Cambridge Analytica.
