Nepal: Left alliance wins two third seats of direct election in lower house of parliament

In Nepal, the left alliance has won two third seats of direct election in lower house of the parliament. Out of 165 constituencies of House of Representative under First Past the Post, Left alliance has begged 113 seats and leading in 4. Ruling Nepali Congress able to get just 21 seats.

The two major parties of Madesh, Rashtriya Janta Party Nepal has won 11 and Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal got 10 seats. In seven provincial assemblies out of 330 seats results of 323 has been declared for far. Left alliance of CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) has got 235. Nepali Congress begged 40 and others have won 48 seats.

Counting of votes for 110 seats of House of Representative and 220 of state assemblies under proportional representation is underway. The left alliance is also leading in proportionate representation. Nepali Congress is in the second place. The historic elections for House of Representative and state assemblies were held in two phases on November 26 and December 7.
