Afghanistan: 63 people killed in suicide bombings at two mosques

In Afghanistan, at least 63 people were killed and several others injured in two suicide bombing at two mosques during Friday prayers. Interior Ministry said, in the first attack in Kabul, a suicide bomber walked into a Shiite mosque in the Dashte-e-Barchi area where he detonated his explosives vest, killing 30 and wounding 45.

The suicide bombing in Ghor province struck a Sunni mosque, during Friday prayers and killed 33 people. No group immediately claimed responsibility for either attack. Afghan president has condemned both attacks saying that country’s security forces will step up the fight to eliminate the terrorists who target Afghans of all religions and tribes.
