WI vs PAK: Cricket fans slam Pakistani team for being bowled out for 81 runs against West Indies on Day 5 of 2nd Test

New Delhi: Pakistani cricket team found itself in yet another embarrassing position after meekly surrendering against West Indies on the fifth and the final day of the second Test. Chasing a target of 188 runs, Pakistani batsmen proved to be a no show against West Indies’ pace attack as Shanon Gabriel destroyed them with a five-wicket haul in second innings.

It took the hosts just 80 minutes after lunch on final day to bowl out the visitors, who looked extremely vulnerable.

Set a target of 188 after leg-spinner Yasir Shah`s seven for 94 wrapped up the home side`s second innings at 268 at the start of the day, the tourists were never in contention after the pace barrage on a deteriorating pitch led by Gabriel, whose innings figures of five for 11 contributed to Pakistan`s demise for just 81 off 34.4 overs.

Pakistani fans were left heartbroken after their team’s loss and slammed the players and the team for such a performance.

Here are some of the reactions:

Really disappointing to see Pak team losing like this. I really hope this defensive mindset of Pak team shall be changed in near future.

None of the Pakistani batsmen could manage to put up a fight. Wicketkeeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed was the highest individual scorer for the team with 23 runs.

The 81 runs Pakistani scored was the team’s 10th lowest total ever in Tests, second lowest against Windies and lowest in Windies.
