Safe & Easy! AB de Villiers shows how make boundary-rope catches look simple – Watch Video

New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore star AB de Villiers is not just known for his ability to the ball all around the park, but also for his exceptional fielding skills.

The veteran South African showed another glimpse of his calmness on the boundary rope with a brilliant catch, which he made look extremely easy.

AB’s took the catch off a Pawan Negi delivery to dismiss Nathan Coulter-Nile for just 2 runs.

Eventually, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 82 runs in a dramatic finish to the game, as the latter collapsed to 49, the lowest total in the history of IPL.Despite the batting team having players like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle and Co, the disaster that unfolded next was unbelievable.

In a shocking batting display, none of the Bangalore batsmen could reach the double digit mark with Kedar Jadahav`s nine being the highest. The Bangalore team`s previous low was 70 against Rajasthan Royals in 2014.

Earlier, put in to bat, the hosts were all out for 131 all out in 19.3 overs. Sunil Narine was the top scorer with 34.

“This is our worst batting performance, it really hurts. After the kind of half that we had, we thought we could capitalise and chase it down. It was reckless batting. I can`t say anything at the moment. It was that bad. This is just not acceptable,” Kohli said after the match. In the day`s earlier IPL fixture, Kings XI Punjab defeated Gujarat Lions by 26 runs at Rajkot.

Kings XI notched up 188 for seven after being invited to bat. The Punjab side then restricted Lions to 162 for seven as they won a match after losing four consecutive games on the trot.
