Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians: Mustafizur Rahman's comeback a huge boost for David Warner's men

New Delhi: By winning their first two matches, defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad have already showed that their title triumph against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2016 final was no fluke.

While most of the teams are struggling to get their combinations right, SRH have looked a world class side from the first match itself. David Warner and his men defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore yet again in the IPL opener and followed it up with an emphatic nine-wicket win against Gujarat Lions.

The team is going from strength to strength and the return of Bangladeshi sensation Mustafizur Rahman will only add more venom to their bowling attack. With David Warner, Moises Henriques and Rashid Khan in sublime form, Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting will have to make way for the seamer if the SRH think tank decides to play him in today’s match.

Along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mustafizur was one of the key bowlers for Hyderabad last year where he ended up at the fifth position in the list of highest wicket takers.

Mustafizur, who missed out on the team’s first two matches due to national commitment, remains to be one of the most hard-to-pick bowlers even today.

The challenge which lies ahead of Hyderabad, is to decode the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, which is nothing less than a fortress for Rohit Sharma and his men.

Unlike Hyderabad, Mumbai are struggling to find rhythm in the tournament. After losing the first game to Rising Pune Supergiant, they pulled off a victory at the last moment against Kolkata Knight Riders, thanks to some horrendous fielding.

Like several of the previous seasons, Mumbai are struggling to find a decent opening pair. To fit hard-hitting English batsman Jos Buttler at the top of the order, skipper Rohit Sharma batted at number three and four respectively in the last two matches, and has amassed just five runs from two innings.

It remains to be seen whether he can rediscover his mojo in front of the home crowd against SRH.
