New Delhi: Afghanistan found their cricket hero in young Rashid Khan. The teen spin sensation was at his best on Sunday when he bamboozled the likes of Brendon McCullum, Aaron Finch and Suresh Raina – all superstars in world cricket.
Playing in his second Indian Premier League (IPL) match, the 18-year-old rocked the Gujarat Lions batting line-up by removing their three biggest names, all LBW. And all looked plumbed.

In his first match, against last year’s finalist. the leg spinner took two wickets.
His figures of 4-0-19-3 helped Sunrisers Hyderabad restrict to 135, which was easily chased down by defending champions with skipper David Warner scoring an unbeaten 76. Moises Henriques was also unbeaten on 52 in their nine wicket win.
