VIVO PERFECT CATCH OF THE MATCH- Shikhar Dhawan

YES BANK MAXIMUM SIXES– David Warner

STYLISH PLAYER OF THE DAY– David Warner

MAN OF THE MATCH– Rashid Khan (three wickets and a run-out)

Summary– A complete one-sided match, to say. SRH started off things well and they continued it throughout the game and maintained their position top of the league table defeating the Lions of Gujarat by a sensational 9 wickets.

For the Lions it was crucial match to win to bring about a certain momentum in the game, while for SRH, it was to maintain their momentum in their title-defence campaign.

Gujarat started strong for the initial overs with Jason Roy smacking a couple of bouindaries until he fell and with that toppled a couple other consecutive batsmen. Its architect- young Rashid Khan of Afghanistan, who scalped three wickets with his clinical googlies.

Dwayne Smith was still at crease pwering his way, struggling to post a total past 150 but he too departed and Gujarat ceased to a minimal score of just 135.

For SRH it was complete opposite. Right from ball one they took on the field and charged aggressively to get that minimal total of GL. Despite the early loss of Shikhar Dhawan, the two Aussies, Warner, Henriques scored their respective fifties as the Hyderabadi men reached the total with still 27 deliveries to spare. A big, big win in their campaign this season and now they atop in the league and comfortably and sound.

SRH win by 9 wickets.

Over 15 | Score 131/1 | Warner 70 (44) ; Henriques 49 (36)

Few more to go now. Both have dominated since they have been on crease. Henriques not far from his second fifty this season. Would be a back-to-back half-century for the Aussie.

Over 9 | Score 76/1 | Warner 37 (24) ; Henriques 29 (21)

GL have to do something to break this lethal partnership. They are still struggling in the match. They need that two points to stay in the league. Kaushik continues.

Tejas Baroka coming into the attack. On debut, leg-break bowler. And Warner cuts his first delivery between point and cover for a four. And again, this time to the leg side. Short ball and he pulls it down square leg for a boundary. Must get his lenght right, thats what Rashid had done.

Raina again, across the wicket. Dhawan steps out and powers down the wicket to strike the bog one. SIX! And another comes up, this time from Warner. Down the ground, no foot work and gets a six. Third six of the over. Warner off backfoot, sends it over long on. 21 off the over.

Over 2 | Score 11/0 | Warner 9 (6) ; Dhawan 2 (6)

Experienced Praveen Kumar comes into the attack. Warner hovers it down the line and gets a boundary. In style smacking, Warner at his best. Praveen places it off to Dhawan and he steps out to smack it. Not enough, but just short off the fielder at mid-on. Misses the great opportunity. Two runs to finish the over.

Over 1 | Score 3/0 | Warner 2 (3) ; Dhawan 1 (3)

136 needed off 120 deliveries at 6.80 RR. Warner and Dhawan are out at crease and it is skipper Suresh Raina opening the attack. Surprise! Takes the responsibility on his shoulders as GL start the attack. Across the wicket and Warner gets a single of the second ball.

Over 20 | Score 135/7 | Thampi 13 (8) ; Praveen 7 (7)

Last six balls to go and Bhuvi into the attack. Flatter delivery and flies below the bat inches past the off stump. Last ball of the over now and they take a run. Minimal total from the struggling Lions. Architect is obviously the young Afghan who scalped three in the evening and then twice from the experinced Nehra ceased the GL to just 135. Rashid now holds the purple cap with 5 wickets already in his bag.

Bhuvi back into the attack. In style, swags it over to mid wicket and gets a two. And yet again, this time Shikhar Dhawan dived to clutch it. Umpires still deciding, Roy waiting. Thats a tough decision. Seems like the ball did touch the ground. Its gonna take time. And the third umpire comes up with a …OUT! The fingers wrapped right under the ball and excellent decision from the umpire indeed. Cheers to Dhawan and Bhuvi, got that important wicket.

Aaron Finch comes out to the field.

Over 5 | Score 35/1 | Raina 0 (1) ; Jason 29 (19)

Young Rashid Khan into the attack. Had impressed everyone with his IPL debut. Rashid, spins it towards leg, McCullum makes way to slice it down square to get a two. And finally the Afghanistani strikes back. Plays the sweep a little too early and gets it wrong. LBW it is.

A crucial match for the Lions, given that they were hammered to to humiliating defeat in their first match in this season. SRH, the defending champions, on the other hand will be continuing their winning run. The players are out on the field. The crowd is ready, the batsman is and so is the bowler.

Two overseas batsmen at crease. And here is a spinner to start of for SRH. Roy at strike and Bipul with the ball. Pushed to deep midwicket and Roy gets a single. McCullum to gets a single.

15:10 IST: Will the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad continue winning run or Gujarat Lions will bounce back with a win?

Yuvraj Singh was the hosts’ star after putting on a solid 27-ball 62-run knock but the 4:00 PM kick-off against Suresh Raina’s team could be a different ball game altogether.

As far as the head-to-head record of the teams is concerned, SRH will be oozing with confidence, having won all three of their games against GL, including one in the qualifying final.

In the opening game, Yuvraj and Dhawan made their intent of getting a recall to India`s Champions Trophy squad clear with some destructive batting. While Yuvraj was the chief architect, Dhawan laid the foundation, scoring 40 runs with Henriques also getting a half century. (IPL 10 – Full Coverage)

Sunrisers have a potent bowling attack with veteran Ashish Nehra, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ben Cutting and Afghanistan rookie Rashid Khan sharing the burden.

Gujarat, meanwhile, have a lot to strategise going into the game against the hosts. Australia all-rounder James Faulkner may replace a horribly out-of-form and out-of-shape Dwayne Smith.

With Jason Roy and Brendon McCullum set to get a longer rope at the top of the order, Faulkner`s better bowling ability makes him a more viable option that Smith, who is batting lower down the order.

Here’s everything you need to know about the sixth match of the season:-

The likely XIs

Sunrisers Hyderabad: David Warner (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Moises Henriques, Yuvraj Singh, Deepak Hooda, Ben Cutting, Naman Ojha (wk) , Bipul Sharma, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ashish Nehra
