IPL 2017: Impressed with MS Dhoni's 'dad beard', Adam Zampa says he can't wait to see Captain Cool

New Delhi: Australian leggie Adam Zampa on Sunday send a personal message to his Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) teammate Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

The 25-year-old took to micro-blogging site Twitter, and wrote “en route to Pune can’t wait to see this mans beautifully sculpted facial hair.”

His tweet comes days ahead of the start of the IPL 10, which starts on April 5.

The former India captain has always been a style icon. From his long-hair look to mohawk, the Ranchi man has managed to earn accolades for his style.

After stepping down as India’s limited-overs’ captain in January, the 35-year-old has started carrying the trendy ‘dad beard’. And obviously the “facial hairstyle” Zampa is referring to is the one which Dhoni came up with during the Vijay Hazare Trophy this year – thick beard, more of a ‘dad beard’ style with the sign of maturity and experience clearly comprehensible from its colour.

Zampa indeed was a crucial player under Dhoni’s captaincy in the last IPL season despite the team’s failure to crack through to the play-off spot.

However, it would be worth noticing how the new RPS skipper Steve Smith utilises Zampa when the team will lock horns with Mumbai Indians at Pune on April 6.
