New Delhi: An incosolable Wahab Riaz broke down in front of camera after helping Peshawar Zalmi to the final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Friday.
The 31-year-old got emotional during the post-match talk, and dedicated the win to his late father. “It was my father’s wish to see me play the final in Lahore. He could not get this gift [while he was alive] but I think he will be a very happy man,” he said.
The fast bowler took three Karachi Kings wickets in the third qualifying final yesterday as Zalmi successfully defended 181 in Dubai.
“When I left the hotel, I spoke to my mother and sisters, and they told me that you have to do it for your dad,” he added.
