Faf du Plessis-led South Africa have won the toss and opted to field against Afghanistan in the 21st match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff on Saturday. 

Here are the live updates from the 21st match of the tournament between South Africa and Afghanistan:

# Afghanistan openers Hazratullah Zazai and Noor Ali Zadran are set to start the innings!

The clash is set to commence in a few minutes with both the teams on the field for the national anthem ceremony! 

# South Africa have won the toss and opted to field against Afghanistan!

Both the sides are yet to register a win in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. They will be looking to register their maiden win in the tournament when they face off against each other. 

While three of South Africa’s matches so far in the tournament resulted in losses, their previous clash against West Indies was washed out. Afghanistan have also been defeated in their three clashes so far of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against Australia, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
