During his interaction, the former limited-overs captain spoke about his experiences in school and how it shaped his outlook towards life.

“Along with studies, one must be very active even in sports. If one can manage a right balance in both, then you can have a very different outlook in life,” Dhoni said while interacting with students.

The dashing wicketkeeper batsman, who is renowned for his ‘Helicopter’ shot, also stressed on the importance of process as this would help individuals as they progress in life. During his captaincy tenure, Dhoni had said repeatedly that he focused on the process rather than the result.

After a 30-minute interaction with the students, Dhoni gave some batting and wicketkeeping tips to the students.

Following the appointment of Virat Kohli as full-time captain in all three formats for India, Dhoni has enjoyed success with the bat. In the ODI series in which India won 2-1, Dhoni blasted his first century against England when he smashed 134 in Cuttack. He shared a record 256-run stand for the fourth wicket with Yuvraj Singh, who smashed 150, his highest individual score to help India seal the series

In the Twenty20 International series, India lost in Kanpur but held their nerve to win in Nagpur. Heading into the decider in Bangalore, Dhoni blasted his maiden fifty that allowed India to go past 200. Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 6/25, the best figures by an Indian bowler in T20Is as India won a Twenty20 series against England for the first time.
