The last time Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) took on the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League 2018 (IPL 2018), the former side emerged victorious by a single wicket. Rohit Sharma’s men will be out for revenge when they take on the Kane Williamson-led side in an IPL 2018 encounter in Mumbai today. Having been put in to bat by MI, SRH could only score 118 in the first innings. Mumbai took wickets at regular intervals, ensuring SRH could never get going throughout the match. 9:45 PM IST: OUT! Oh dear Yusuf. He holes out to Hardik Pandya at deep mid-wicket and that is the end of the innings. SRH 118 all out in 18.4 overs. This should be a fairly easy chase for the home side.
9:43 PM IST: SIX! Yusuf finally connects with the big one down the ground. Amazingly, this is the first six of the game.
9:40 PM IST: Only 3 runs come from that over, mostly because Yusuf wants to keep the strike as much as he can. SRH are 112/9 after 18 overs.

8:27 PM IST: WICKET! Hardik Pandya strikes in his first over itself. Manish Pandey, who was looking dangerous, edges one off the toe of his bat that lands straight in Rohit Sharma’s grateful hands at cover. SRH are now three down and in a precarious position.
8:24 PM IST: FOUR! Williamson gets a lucky inside edge off Hardik Pandya’s first ball and it races away to the boundary.
8:22 PM IST: FOUR! Pandey ends the over with a boundary over mid-off. He looks in good touch tonight. SRH 38/2 after 4 overs.

8:10 PM IST: OUT! Dhawan bowled by McCleneghan! Dhawan departs right after being struck on the leg. He once again inside edges the ball, this time onto his pads. The ball hits his stumps and he’s got to go.
8:08 PM IST: Dhawan inside edges the ball onto his own leg and the physio is now out. That had to have hurt; it struck him at an area that wasn’t protected by padding.
8:06 PM IST: FIVE WIDES FOLLOWED BY A FOUR! Oh dear oh dear. McCleneghan bowls a wide full toss and Ishan Kishan can’t get across to cover. Bonus runs. Shikhar Dhawan then gets another four in the third man region.

8:02 PM IST: TWO FOURS! Williamson doesn’t waste time; first ball he faces is short and wide and he duly dispatches it to the boundary. The second one is a half-volley and gets the same treatment.

7:55 PM IST: Rohit Sharma admitted during the toss that losing close games has been hard on the side. Will today be the day they notch their second win of the tournament so far? We’ll know soon enough.

7:45 PM IST: The more noteworthy team news comes from the away side – Basil Thampi makes his first start for the side. He was awarded the “Emerging Player” award last time around.
7:37 PM IST: Big news just breaking – SRH pacer Billy Stanlake has been ruled out of the tournament due to a finger fracture. That isn’t good news for the Sunrisers. It will be interesting to see who they sign as a replacement player.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s major concerns ahead of the game centre around the availability of certain players. They will be without pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the game. The inclusion of batsmen Shikhar Dhawan and Yusuf Pathan is also doubtful, the former suffering an elbow injury vs Kings XI Punjab whilst the latter experienced cramps in the same game.
For Mumbai Indians, the fact that none of their established stars have fired thus far is something that will need to change if they are to have any chances of registering a win over the Sunrisers. That all four of their defeats came in matches went down to the wire is also a cause for concern for the defending IPL champions.
