Prabowo Subianto Declared Indonesia’s President-Elect After Court Rejects Rivals’ Appeal

Indonesia’s electoral commission officially declared Prabowo Subianto as president-elect following a court ruling rejecting appeals from rival candidates. Mr. Subianto won the election with 58.6% of the votes, facing allegations of fraud and state interference from his rivals. The formal declaration ceremony took place with heightened security measures, where Mr. Subianto and his vice president-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka greeted supporters.
