The increasing encroachments on P.V. Rajamannar Salai in K.K. Nagar have caused severe hardship to motorists, leading to congestion and delays. As a crucial link road parallel to Arcot Road, Rajamannar Salai is essential for commuters, especially with ongoing Metro Rail projects. However, the road’s efficiency is compromised by unauthorized parking and shops occupying portions of the road.
Residents have urged the Chennai Corporation to address this issue by paving the unpaved section and clearing encroachments to alleviate the traffic congestion. In response, the Corporation has assured that a drive to remove encroachments will be initiated after the Lok Sabha election, and plans to pave the damaged portions of the road.
