Jailed gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari has been hospitalized in Uttar Pradesh’s Banda district after complaining of abdominal pain. The medical bulletin from Banda Medical College indicates that his condition is currently stable, with conservative treatment initiated upon admission. Mukhtar’s brother, Ghazipur MP Afzal Ansari, revealed that the family was informed about his hospitalization and expressed concerns over his health.
Despite efforts to contact Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for assistance, Afzal Ansari emphasized the need for Mukhtar to receive adequate medical care, suggesting transfer to a larger hospital if necessary. Allegations of Mukhtar being subjected to “slow poison” in jail were raised during a recent court hearing, adding to concerns about his deteriorating health. As Mukhtar Ansari’s health remains under observation, his lawyer and relatives await further medical reports to determine the extent of his condition.
