ED Concludes Further Interrogation Unnecessary for BRS Leader Kavitha

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) informed a Delhi court that additional custodial interrogation of BRS leader K. Kavitha is deemed unnecessary in the Delhi excise policy scam case. Kavitha was presented in court as her custody remand concluded. Previously granted permission for interrogation, the court was briefed on the development by the federal probe agency.
Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana CM K. Chandrashekar Rao, reiterated her stance outside the court, denouncing the charges as illegitimate and expressing determination to contest them. The ED’s allegations link Kavitha to the ‘South Group,’ accused of providing kickbacks to AAP for favorable liquor license allocation in Delhi, a charge she vehemently denies.
