The breach, which coincided with the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attack on Parliament, sparked major row with Opposition questioning the central government over laxity in security.
The Delhi Police’s Special Cell on Friday detained two more people in connection with the Parliament security breach on Wednesday, involving two persons — Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D — who jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber and released yellow gas from canisters creating panic among the MPs.
The two detained individuals have been identified as Mahesh and Kailash, both residents of Rajasthan and have an alleged association with a social media group called “Justice for Azad Bhagat Singh”.
Lalit Jha, a Kolkata resident alleged to be the key conspirator in the breach case, was detained by the Delhi Police after he surrendered on Thursday. Notably, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi, who sprayed coloured gas from canisters while shouting “Tanashahi Nahi Chalegi” outside Parliament premises were already taken into custody along with Sagar and Manoranjan on Wednesday.
‘Accused Wanted to Create Anarchy to…’: Police
As the investigation into the Parliament security breach continues, the Delhi Police on Friday informed a local court that the accused wanted to create “anarchy” in the country to compel the government to meet their “unjust and illegal demands”, reported Indian Express. The police’s argument came while it was demanding custody of Lalit Jha, the fifth accused in the case.

Someone Motivated Them, Scope of Probe to be Widened, Say Sources
The scope of the investigation into Wednesday’s security breach at Parliament will be widened as the ideology of the intruders alone could not have instigated them to jump into the chamber of the Lok Sabha with canisters of yellow gas, top intelligence sources told News18.
According to sources privy to the investigation, the quartet were aware of the repercussions of such a display of protest in Parliament. “There is someone who motivated them to go to this extent and this person is never seen in the picture. Lalit Mohan Jha is alleged to be the mastermind behind the plan, but he also possibly did all this on behalf of someone else,” a source said. READ MORE

The Special Cell of Delhi Police on Friday detained two more people following their suspected association with five arrested in the case. The detained persons are identified as Mahesh and Kailash, both residents of Rajasthan and have an alleged association with a social media group called “Justice for Azad Bhagat Singh”.
