Aaj Ka Panchang, December 16, 2023: Devotees will celebrate Dhanu Sankranti and Vinayaka Chaturthi on Saturday.

AAJ KA PANCHANG, DECEMBER 16, 2023: According to the Drik Panchang calendar, Saturday, December 16, will witness two significant occasions – Chaturthi Tithi and Panchami Tithi in the bright half of the month. On this day, devotees will observe religious festivals namely Dhanu Sankranti and Vinayaka Chaturthi.

The Chaturthi following the Amavasya or new moon in the Shukla Paksha is recognised as Vinayaka Chaturthi, also referred to as Varad Vinayaka Chaturthi. The term “Varad” signifies the act of beseeching God to fulfill one’s desires. Those who observe this fast receive blessings from Lord Ganesha, gaining wisdom and patience. SUNRISE, SUNSET, MOONRISE, AND MOONSET ON DECEMBER 16

The sunrise is expected at 7:07 AM, and sunset at 5:27 PM. On the other hand, the moonrise is scheduled to occur at 10:19 AM on December 16 and the moonset will be observed at 8:59 PM.

TITHI, NAKSHATRA, AND RASHI DETAILS FOR DECEMBER 16

On December 16, the Chaturthi Tithi will last until 8:00 PM, followed by the commencement of the Panchami Tithi. The auspicious Shravana Nakshatra will continue until 4:37 AM on December 17, after which the Dhanishtha Nakshatra will take its place. The sun is expected to be seen in the Vrishchika Rashi up to 4:09 PM and post this, it will occur in Dhanu Rashi. On the other hand, the moon is anticipated to be observed in Makara Rashi.

SHUBH MUHURAT FOR DECEMBER 16

The auspicious timings are as follows: The Brahma Muhurta, considered favourable for significant activities, is scheduled from 5:17 AM to 6:12 AM. Pratah Sandhya is anticipated to occur between 5:45 AM and 7:07 AM while the Godhuli Muhurat, another auspicious window, is expected from 5:24 PM to 5:51 PM. Additionally, the Nishita Muhurta is set to commence from 11:50 PM to 12:44 AM on December 17.

ASHUBH MUHURAT FOR DECEMBER 16

Inauspicious timings or ashubh muhurat for the day, are as follows: Rahu Kalam is scheduled to be observed from 9:42 AM to 10:59 AM, while the Yamaganda Muhurta is expected to take place between 1:34 PM and 2:52 PM. On the other hand, the Gulikai Kalam is slated to occur from 7:07 AM to 8:24 AM. The Dur Muhurtam is predicted to commence from 7:07 AM to 7:48 AM. Additionally, the Baana Muhurta suggests the presence of Agni up to 4:09 PM on December 16.
