Odisha Matric Exam Dates Announced: Exam From Feb 20, AI Cameras To Be Used for Monitoring Students

The Matric examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in Odisha has been scheduled from February 20 to March 4.

While addressing a press conference, BSE president Ramasis Hajra said that over 5 lakh candidates will appear for the examination that will be conducted at 2,991 examination centers across the state.

A three-tier security system will be adopted for conducting the test and as many as 313 nodal centers will be set up to store question papers.

The Board President further informed that AI cameras will be installed in strong rooms, DEO office and examination halls for monitoring the matric exams. A command room with 7-8 persons will also be set up for operation of the AI cameras, Hajra added.

Students will write the Modern Indian Language (MIL) exam on the first day, which is February 29, whereas the examination for English and Mathematics will be held on February 23 and February 26 respectively.

The test for the third language will however, be conducted on February 28. On the other hand, General science and Social Science have been scheduled to be conducted on March 2 and 4 respectively.

The evaluation is set to commence from March 15 and will be completed within 12 days.

The board president also informed that students can rectify their photo and other details from December 14 onwards, the process of which will continue till February 21.

He also announced in the press conference that the class 9 annual examination will be conducted between March 6 and 15.
