Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi Killing: Accused Ranvir had made all the arrangements for shooters Nitin and Rohit in Jaipur

The Rajasthan police on Saturday made the first arrest in the killing of the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. The accused has been identified as 23-year-old student Ranvir.

According to the police probe, Ranvir had made all the arrangements for shooters Nitin and Rohit in Jaipur. Shooter Nitin Fauji and Ranvir are childhood friends.

Ranvir arranged for Nitin Fauji to stay in a hotel and his acquaintance’s flat in Jaipur, the police said. After the incident, he took Fauji and Rohit Rathod on a motorcycle from Ajmer Road and helped them escape in a Rajasthan Roadways bus from Nagaur depot ahead of Bagru toll plaza.

Earlier this week, the police managed to identify Nitin and Rohit, the two shooters involved in killing Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.

Rohit Rathore, is a resident of Rajasthan’s Nagaur while Nitin Fouji is from Haryana’s Mahendragarh.

The Director General of Police Umesh Mishra formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the killing. The SIT is headed by Additional Director General (Crime) Dinesh MN and a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh for information leading to the arrest of the two accused was also announced.

Gogamedi was shot dead in the living room of his house in Jaipur on Tuesday.
