The lottery game features two rounds, with tickets sold from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Teer Betting Centres. The first round comprises 50 archers releasing 30 arrows each, followed by a second round with only 20 arrows. Participants also have the option to place bets on the number of arrows hitting the target during each round.

How to play the Shillong Teer lottery
1. Buy a ticket from an authorized retailer, with denominations ranging from Rs 1, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20, to Rs 50.
2. Choose a number between 0 and 99. This number will represent your prediction for the number of arrows hitting the target in each round.
3. Bet on either the first, second, or both rounds. Your success depends on the accuracy of your predictions for the chosen round(s).
4. The prize money is based on your betting amount and the accuracy of your predicted arrow counts.
5. For example: If you bet Rs 1 and correctly predict the first round, you win Rs 80. Predicting the second round with a Rs 1 bet earns you Rs 60 while betting Rs 1 on both rounds and accurately predicting both outcomes results in winnings of Rs 4000.
