Several flights to and from New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport were affected after rain lashed parts of the national capital on Monday evening. Flights to and from Mumbai are also impacted due to bad weather and air traffic congestion.

Vistara Flights From Kolkata, Guwahati to Delhi Affected

“Flight UK778 from Kolkata to Delhi (CCU-DEL) has been diverted to Lucknow (LKO) due to Air Traffic congestion at Delhi airport and is expected to arrive in Lucknow at 1845 hours,” a statement by Vistara said.

“Flight UK742 from Guwahati to Delhi (GAU-DEL) has been diverted to Jaipur (JAI) due to bad weather and air traffic congestion at Delhi airport and is expected to arrive in Jaipur at 1930 hours,” Vistara noted further.

The airline stated that flights to and from Delhi and Mumbai may be impacted due to bad weather and air traffic congestion.

SpiceJet Flights Delayed Due to ATC Congestion

“We are facing ATC congestion at Delhi (DEL) due to bad weather. All departures/arrivals and their consequential flights might be affected. Passengers are requested to keep a check on their flight status,” a statement by SpiceJet read.

IndiGo ‘Regrets Inconvenience Caused’ Due to Delay in Flights

After IndiGo flights to Patna, Lucknow, Jammu and Surat faced delays due to bad weather, the airline, responding to an X (formerly Twitter) post by a passenger, said, “Hi, we regret the inconvenience caused. Please know that we try our best to fly on time, however, due to the uncertain nature of our operating factors, our flight schedules get affected. As checked, your flight is delayed due to bad weather at Delhi. We appreciate your patience and hope to serve you better in the future. Please feel free to reach out to us, along with your PNR, if you have further concerns.”
