Parliament Winter Session to Take Place From December 4 Till December 22

The 2023 winter session of the Parliament will commence from December 4 and will continue till December 22. The session will have a total of 15 sittings.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi announced the same on the microblogging site and said that he is looking forward to discussions on Legislative Business and other items during the session.

In his post, Joshi wrote, “Winter Session, 2023 of Parliament will commence from 4th December and continue till 22nd December having 15 sittings spread over 19 days. Amid Amrit Kaal looking forward to discussions on Legislative Business and other items during the session.”

Three main bills, which are likely to be taken up for consideration during the winter session are those which seek to replace the Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure and the Evidence Act. This is because the standing committee on Home adopted the three reports recently.
