Lakhs of devotees are flocking to Odisha’s Puri to get the darshan of the holy trinity in Shree Jagannath Temple. Elaborate arrangements have been made by the district administration to manage the crowds and ensure security around the temple.
The administration has deployed 40 police platoons to manage the crowd and made the area vendor-free till Panchuka ( the last five days of Kartik). The traffic police have also restricted the movement of vehicles on major roads and junctions leading to the Shree Jagannath Temple.

Puri SP K. V. Singh is closely monitoring the situation. Recently, a family from Andhra Pradesh was trapped inside one of the barricades. After the incident was brought to his attention, the SP promptly reached the spot and assisted the family.
Puri SP, said “We are taking all the steps to ensure smooth darshan of the trinity. It is directed to all police personnel on duty to take care of and help the devotees. They are also performing appreciable work.”
