A Delhi court on Monday granted bail to former air force chief Air Chief Marshal SP Tyagi (retd), one of the three accused in the AgustaWestland chopper scam.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) counsel on December 23 had requested the court not to disclose evidences to anyone as it would affect the ongoing investigation that was reportedly at a very crucial stage.

The Patiala House court on December 17 had remanded the trio to judicial custody till December 30 as their CBI custody ended.

Earlier, the CBI had sought a 10-day custody to interrogate Tyagi and the other accused in the case.

Tyagi has been reportedly accused of manipulating the deal in favour of AgustaWestland when he was the IAF chief. He has, however, denied the allegations.
