‘CM dukhi hai wo rahega ya nhi’: Nitin Gadkari takes dig at politicians in viral video – WATCH

No politician is ever happy with whatever post he has, even if he becomes the chief minister, he worries how long he will have the post, said Union Minister Nitin Gadkari jokingly, taking a dig at leaders’ ambitions in a viral video.

The Union Minister in the video is heard saying, “MLAs weren’t happy as they couldn’t become ministers, ministers were unhappy as they couldn’t get good departments, those with good departments were unhappy as they could not become Chief Minister and the Chief Minister is worried as he/she doesn’t know for how long they’ll continue.”

While addressing a seminar on on ‘Parliamentary System and People’s Expectations’ at Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Monday, Gadkari said, “The real objective of politics is to bring about a change in the life of the common man standing last in the queue but unfortunately, it is considered nowadays a means to grab power.”

The Union Minister’s remarks came just days after former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani resigned from his post, and Bhupendra Patel took over as his successor ahead of the state assembly polls next year.

“Politics is an instrument to bring about a social and economic change. The real purpose of democracy is to make the people standing at the last rung of the society prosperous and improve their lives through this,” he said.

He also asked political leaders to be happy with the position they have and use it to serve the people.
