Punjab budget session likely in second week of June

The budget session of Punjab assembly is likely to be convened in the second week of June, speaker Rana KP Singh said on Saturday.

Talking to mediapersons here, he said the duration of the session would depend on the business of the assembly, which would be decided by the business advisory committee in the first week of June.

He said being Anandpur Sahib MLA, he would fulfil all promises made to the people of the constituency.

Earlier, addressing a function organised by the Anandpur Sahib Bar Association in his honour, Rana said that bar associations were important instruments for mobilisation of people in defending their fundamental rights. Rupnagar district and sessions judge BS Sandhu and Bar Association president Manish Kumar Sharma were also present on the occasion.
