Train running news: Indian Railways to bring 90% trains on track soon, check details here

Train services that were disrupted because of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, will be gradually brought to track soon. People had to face a lot of inconvenience because of truncated train services. However, the Railways Ministry is now planning to restart all services. 

The Indian Railways is now ready to roll out all the trains by adhering to the COVID protocols for passengers and staff.

More than 70 local trains of the Northern Railways started plying on Monday and now the superfast trains are also ready to chug on the tracks.

Railways Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted that four Shatabdis special and one Duronto special train are being introduced by Indian Railways.

According to railways sources, the operation department has prepared most of the trains to run and a timetable has also been prepared for the same. According to reports, 90 per cent of trains will start services from April 10 amid the COVID protocol, which will greatly facilitate passengers and also save congestion.

According to railway official sources, Shatabdi and Rajdhani trains of Amritsar Shatabdi, Chandigarh Shatabdi, Jaipur Shatabdi and other routes will start running from April 10. All trains will run as special due to COVID, which will also increase the travel fare. However, given the increasing number of covid cases, there is also a possibility that passengers will not be allowed entry in the train without a COVID check.
