Mumbai: Abandoned car triggers bomb scare near Mukesh Ambani’s residence

Mumbai: Abandoned car at Mumbai’s Carmichael Road triggered a bomb scare near Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani’s residence on Thursday (February 25). 

A suspicious black Scorpio car, parked over 700 meters away from Mukesh Ambani’s residence Antilia, was reported to the authorities at 3 pm. Soon after, the authorities reached the place of the incident and cordoned all the roads leading to the location. 

The bomb squad was also immediately dispatched to the spot. The police also disclosed that the CCTV footage showed the car entering the spot at around 1 in the night 

“A suspicious vehicle was found on Carmichael Road today evening under limits of Gamdevi Police Station. Police were alerted. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) team and other Police teams reached the spot immediately,” said Chaitanya S, DCP PRO, Mumbai police. 

“After examining the vehicle the team found some explosive material Gelatin inside. It is not an assembled explosive device. Further investigation is going on,” he added. 

Further investigation is underway, added the police officer.
