AIADMK leader TTV Dinakaran has been asked by the Delhi Police to join the investigation into an alleged attempt to influence the party’s symbol war in his favour. The summons to Dinakaran were served hours after he “stepped aside” to pave the way for a merger of rival factions led by Chief Minister EK Palaniswami and his predecessor O Panneerselvam.

Dinakaran has failed to appear in court today citing the death of a relative last week. The court has accepted his plea and asked him to appear on April 24
