New video shows Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad 'arguing' with Maharashtra cops

Controversial Shiv Sena parliamentarian Ravindra Gaikwad has been caught in a purported video arguing with police in Maharashtra, apparently over a malfunctioning ATM.

A clip of the incident was put out by news agency ANI on Wednesday. Gaikwad is facing a storm of protests and condemnation over allegedly thrashing an elderly Air India employee last month.

Gaikwad was taken off a no-fly list by Air India and five other airlines earlier this month following an intervention from the civil aviation ministry, which had said legal proceedings against the Osmanabad MP would continue.

A similar video apparently showing Gaikwad hitting 60-year-old AI staffer repeatedly had gone viral on social media last month. The MP has expressed regret to Parliament but has refused to apologise to the staff.
