Patna: A coach attendant of the Delhi-Patna Rajdhani Express was detained early on Sunday for allegedly helping dacoits — who looted three coaches — board the premium train near Patna.

At least four passengers have lodged complaints with the railway police that their suitcases were looted by three men who were allegedly let in by the attendant. The passengers also alleged that they were thrashed by the dacoits who looted A4, B1 and B2 coaches of the train.

“We have suspended ASI Railway Police Force (RPF) in-charge of escort and also taking action against escort party for their failure to detect the incident of theft,” the railway police in Patna said.

Railway minister Suresh Prabhu has asked the railway police to coordinate with Bihar police.
