SHO commits suicide in Rajasthan’s Churu, two suicide notes recovered

In a tragic news coming from Rajasthan, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Rajgarh police station in the Churu district allegedly committed suicide, media reports said on Saturday.

As per the reports, the deceased, identified as Vishnu Vishnoi, was investigating late at night in a murder case in the area on Friday and then rushed to his official quarters and ended his life there. His body was found hanging from the ceiling on Saturday morning at the official quarter. Two suicide notes were also found from the site.

The first note was addressed to the Churu Superintendent of Police where he described extreme pressure on him for committing suicide. He also wrote that he was not a coward, but it was a compulsion to take this step. The second letter was addressed to his parents. No one was accused in the note.

DGP Bhupendra Singh expressed grief over the death of the SHO saying, “Bishnoi was one of the best police officers and his death has come as a big loss to the police department.”

The DGP also said that Bishnoi was known for his honesty and was always praised for his work. He said that IG Range and ADG (In-charge) have gone to the spot and the case has been handed over to the Crime Branch.

Many gathered outside the Rajgadh police station on Saturday and demanded a CBI investigation into the matter.
