Watch this Spanish MEP call him out for his chauvinism.

From US President Donald Trump’s sexist remarks to India’s Sharad Yadav and Mulayam Singh derogatory statements on women, misogynistic comments from political leaders across the globe are not anything new.

But this Polish lawmaker’s sexist rant in the European Parliament has taken misogyny to a different level.

A video published by CNN from the European Parliament shows Janusz Korwin-Mikke, a lawmaker from Poland participating in a debate about equal pay. In this video from March 1, the 74-year-old right-wing liberatarian, astonished the house and other members when he launched into this male chauvinistic tirade.

In the video, he gets up to justify why women should not be paid as much as men, his argument beginning with, “There are no women in the first 100 chess players”

As the leaders around him, sat watching, this bow tie wearing MEP went on to claim that women are “weaker, smaller and less intelligent.”

But his remarks did not go unanswered in Brussels, where the session was underway.

Spanish MEP, Iratxe Gracia Perez, stood up to give a fiery response to the Polish politician’s argument. Her rebuttal earning her applause from the house.
