Michael Lobo assumes Speaker’s chair for today’s session
Pramod Sawant, who was earlier the Speaker of the Assembly, had resigned from the post prior to his swearing-in as chief minister and handed over the charge to his deputy Michael Lobo, who assumed the Speaker’s chair for today’s session.

The BJP government in Goa led by new chief minister Pramod Sawant is facing a floor test to prove its majority in the Assembly. Goa governor Mridula had called a session of the Assembly at 11:30 am for the test vote.
