Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Ashok Tanwar claims Congress list in Haryana will be decided…

Haryana Congress chief Ashok Tanwar on Sunday claimed that he will play a crucial role in finalising the candidates for Lok Sabha elections in the state.

Polling will be held for the 10 parliamentary seats in the state on May 12.

Talking to reporters in Jagadhri town of Yamunanagar, Tanwar said all the ten party candidates will be decided after his approval. “Tickets will be given to loyal Congress leaders, who have been working for the party for years,” he added.

He slammed the BJP governments at the Centre and in Haryana for the alleged corruption in the country and in the state.

He alleged that instead of stopping illegal mining in the state, the Manohar Lal Khattar government is helping the mafia to function without any fear of law-enforcing agencies.

Tanwar also took a jibe at Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) , which has been allotted ‘chappal’ as election symbol, and said the Election Commission seemed to have given it this symbol while keeping the history of Chautala clan in mind. “Abhay Chautala tried to hurl a shoe at a legislator (Karan Dalal of the Congress in the Vidhan Sabha) and his nephew (JJP leader Dushyant) got a chappal as party symbol. Now they can tackle each other with chappals,” he added.
