Just over a month ago on World Cancer Day, Manohar Parrikar gave a hint of his determination to fight his life-threatening illness to the end when he said that the human mind can overcome any disease.
Parrikar was then admitted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
“Human mind can overcome any disease #WorldCancerDay,” Parrikar had tweeted on February 4.

Forty-one days after that tweet, the chief minister who was diagnosed with a pancreatic cancer in February last year, died Sunday evening in Panaji. Politicians across parties have praised Parrikar for working for Goa till the end.
