‘My MLAs are not held captive, others are threatening them,’ says Sasikala

It was a day filled with suspense, with journalists anticipating which faces will go to the O Panneerselvam camp. But a large part of the day progressed without any major political developments other than a few MPs joining OPS.

Surprisingly, VK Sasikala who has deftly avoided the media till now, spoke not once, but twice to the media.

Following an assault on mediapersons by private guards at the Golden Bay Resort, Sasikala addressed the media from the venue.

Reiterating that the MLAs staying at the resort for several days are there out of their own free will, she said, “None of the MLAs have been held captive, we are here like a family. I request the media to look at them and understand that they are free.”

Hitting out at the O Panneerselvam camp, AIADMK’s interim General Secretary said those who had left the party together with enemies including the opposition party are spreading false rumours to the media.

Sasikala also alleged that her MLAs were getting threats.

Asked what her future course of action will be, Sasikala repeated her lines from Saturday. “Wait and watch.”
