MP ATS Unearths Suspected ISI Espionage Racket, Four Arrested

Bhopal: The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Madhya Pradesh police has arrested four men suspected of supplying information to Pakistan’s ISI, sources said.

The four men, who are from Gwalior, Satna and Bhopal, were reportedly arrested by the MP ATS around four days ago and are being interrogated. NIA and other central agencies too have coordinated with the ATS on the case.

The suspects were nabbed on the basis of inputs received from intelligence officers from Agra in Uttar Pradesh, after which the Madhya Pradesh officers put several mobile on surveillance.

The arrested men are accused of supplying information regarding army and Air Force in MP.

An officer from MP Police said that the suspects were running a parallel telephone exchange. Mobile phones, sim cards, data cards and laptops have been recovered from the suspects.

The accused have been charged with treason and violation of Indian Telegraph Act. The ATS is expected to come up with a briefing on the case by afternoon, said sources.
