Gold worth Rs 7.38 lakh seized from passenger at Hyderabad international airport

Customs officers on Wednesday foiled a flyer’s bid to smuggle 250 grams gold out of the international airport in Hyderabad after he landed by a Gulf Airlines flight.

Based on a specific intelligence, the customs officers of the Air Intelligence Unit seized 250 gram gold of foreign origin, valued at Rs 7.38 lakh, from the passenger who arrived from Jeddah via Baharain, a senior Customs officer said.
