3rd T20I: England elect to bowl in decider vs India

18:45  Debutant Rishabh Pant received his cap from former India wicketkeeper Saba Karim.

Pant is expected to open the innings with KL Rahul, while Virat Kohli would drop to his favoured No. 3 slot.

18:36  Pant debuts for India, England opt to bowl in decider:  Delhi’s batting sensation Rishabh Pant is already looked at one for the future, especially in limited overs cricket.

He set the domestic circuit alight last season with his attacking brand of batting, bringing back memories of Virender Sehwag.

Wicketkeeper batsman Pant, 19, was the fourth highest scorer in Ranji Trophy last season with 972 runs in eight matches, was included in the Indian T20 squad despite the presence of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

What has been impressive about Pant has been his strike rate of 107 in domestic cricket, having hit four centuries and two fifties.

In November, he batted himself into the record books as he struck the fastest ever hundred by an Indian in a first-class game by hitting a 48-ball ton against Jharkhand in a Ranji Trophy encounter in Thumba, Kerala.

18:33  England elect to bowl in decider, Pant debuts for India:   Welcome to the coverage of the third and final Twenty20 International between India and England in Bengaluru, on Wednesday.

England have won the toss and elected to bowl in the decider with the series locked at 1-1.

The big news for India is that Delhi youngster Rishabh Pant will make his international debut as he replaces Manish Pandey.
