The amended Triple Talaq Bill is expected be tabled in the Rajya Sabha on Friday, the last day of the monsoon session of the Parliament.
Besides the long-debated Triple Talaq Bill, the upper house of the Parliament will also consider further amendments to the insolvency and bankruptcy code (IBC). On Thursday, Janata Dal (United) MP and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) nominee Harivansh Narayan Singh was elected to the post of Rajya Sabha deputy chairman.
