Man livestreams suicide on Facebook after failing to get Army job

As many of his Facebook friends watched in horror, a man in Agra hanged himself on Wednesday while live streaming the act, news agency ANI reported.

Munna Kumar, 24, was a BSc graduate. He was reportedly upset over not being able to join the army despite several attempts.

He had been trying to clear the entrance test for the military since age 17 but had not been successful, ANI reported. He was worried about exceeding the age limit.

Early on Wednesday morning, he killed himself as many of his friends watched on Facebook. A two-page note from Munna was found in which he detailed his struggle and apologised to his parents. At the end of it, he wrote “Jai Hind”.

According to media reports, he was inspired by Bhagat Singh and wanted to join Army
