Ahead of the preparations of general budget for 2017-18, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh would convene district wise meetings of MLAs on January 30 and January 31 to elicit their views for fixing plan priorities.

The priorities listed by the MLAs would be considered for incorporating in the budget, an official spokesman said.

The meeting with MLAs of Solan, Sirmour and Shimla districts will be held from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM on January 30, while the meeting with MLAs of Mandi, Kullu and Bilaspur districts would be held in the afternoon from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM.

The Meeting with MLAs of Kangra, Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts would be held from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM on January 31, while the meeting with MLAs of Chamba, Una and Hamirpur districts would be held from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM, the spokesman said.

The priorities of MLAs regarding roads, bridges and small irrigation and drinking water supply schemes have already been invited, he said.

The issues like generation of more resources, better administration and taking up the steps on compressing expenditure on various heads would also be discussed with the MLAs.
